Spring cleaning

Gaby and I spent Mother's Day cleaning out our house. It sounds like an unbearable chore, but really it was quite cathartic.

This morning as I dropped things off at their different donation stations and my car began to empty out, I could feel a massive weight lifting!

Do you ever feel weighed down by the amount of stuff you have?

It was really getting to me in these last few weeks, and I'm feeling much better about it today.

Just wanted to pass that along in case anyone else is feeling cramped.

Have a good one! Kristen

Mom

My mom is the best. I know everyone says that, but I know we'd be friends even if we weren't related.

Anyway, my brother and I called my mom a bunch of times today, tried to talk her through FaceTime, and reminded her that we love her.

But we do this everyday.

Let's not wait for a holiday.

Love to your mothers and all who have mothered you! Kristen

Feeling energized...

After a great show, I flip out a little. I sing in my car, I smile to myself, I compliment myself ('that was great!'), I just feel so...wonderful.

It's a remarkable gift to be able to do what you love.

Recognizing what gives you energy instead of sucks it from you- incredible.

Thanks to the folks who came out to hear me this weekend in Salisbury and Willimantic. My dreams have come true, and I have you to thank.

Enjoy your weekends, and I hope to see you very soon.

Love, Kristen

Balance Part 2

I'm trying. I really am. I find it so hard to pull myself from booking another show or sitting at the piano to go take a jog. Or do some yoga.

I love all of these things.

It's very difficult for me to know when I'm doing too much of one- because I love it.

I'm trying though.

Dusted off the old yoga mat today and am hoping that's a start!

How's your balance seeking going? Kristen Ps...I'm seriously asking. Not rhetorically.
